Rooted Ag Systems is a farmer-owned network built to connect agronomy, finance, and education into one seamless system that supports modern farm operations. What began as a family farm has grown into a suite of companies dedicated to helping producers make more educated, data-driven decisions that strengthen both their land and their legacy. At the center of this mission is Rooted Financial Management Systems (Rooted FMS)—the only all-in-one farm management platform built by farmers, for farmers. Rooted FMS simplifies complex farm financials through real-time budgeting, cash-flow planning, scenario modeling, and individualized reporting, giving producers the clarity and confidence lenders value.

Surrounded by agronomic partners such as Endurance Ag and EarthOptics, the Rooted system supports farmers from planning and soil strategy to input optimization and product performance. Together, each branch of Rooted Ag Systems works to reduce risk, improve profitability, and bring transparency to decision-making. Whether through financial tools, agronomic insight, or farmer-led education like the Root Cause Podcast, Rooted Ag Systems equips producers with the information they need to move into each season with confidence. Ultimately, Rooted exists to help farms thrive—not just year to year, but for generations.

Amanda Newcomb joined Rooted Ag Systems on December 1, 2025, bringing nearly two decades of proven leadership and results across the agricultural industry. Raised in Covington, Tennessee, Amanda’s roots in agriculture run deep. She grew up assisting her grandfather in his row crop operation and had the opportunity to farm alongside him for several years before his passing, an experience that shaped her lifelong commitment to agriculture and stewardship of the land.

A sixth-generation resident of her family home, Amanda continues to nurture the pear orchard planted by her great-aunt in the 1970s, which still produces fruit today which are often turned into family-favorite pear preserves and pies. In high school and college, she showed Tennessee Walking Horses and Polled Hereford cattle, and she continues to ride horses, maintaining strong ties to both livestock and land.

Professionally, Amanda has built a distinguished career in agricultural sales and business development since 2006, generating millions in revenue for regional and global agribusiness companies. Her experience spans crop insurance, high-end agricultural equipment, cottonseed, cotton gin machinery, and industrial systems, with multiple top-tier sales awards and leadership distinctions earned along the way.

An advocate for agriculture, animals, and community, Amanda leads with a servant’s heart and a consultative approach focused on relationships, long-term value, and helping producers succeed. Taylor Barker - Vice President of Operations

Taylor Barker brings a diverse professional background in production agriculture, combining formal agronomic education with hands-on operational leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Crop and Soil Science and has built his career across multiple agricultural systems, including specialty crops, row-crop production, and farm management.

Early in his career, Taylor spent nine years managing a vineyard, where he developed expertise in crop management, operational efficiency, and long-term planning. He later transitioned into row-crop agriculture, serving as an operations manager and overseeing day-to-day farm operations. For nearly a decade, Taylor has worked closely with Kaleb Dinwiddie, beginning as a farm manager and gradually stepping into expanded leadership roles across the businesses within Rooted Ag Systems.

While Taylor’s career reflects a broad range of professional experience, it is rooted in a lifelong connection to agriculture. Raised on his family’s farm, he grew up working alongside his grandfather and great-grandfather, gaining firsthand insight into the realities of farming and the importance of disciplined, long-term decision-making.

Taylor has played an instrumental role in the development of Rooted FMS, helping bring the platform to life by bridging the gap between on-farm realities and data-driven decision-making tools. His passion lies in helping producers make informed, sustainable decisions that strengthen their operations today while building a foundation for future generations.
